* TOURNAMENT RULES & INFORMATION *

ALL REGISTRATION FEES:  ON-LINE - $22.00 when you register on-line, last day for on-line registration is Monday by Midnight prior to each scheduled event, no exceptions. Confirmation WILL NOT be given by phone. Those who register on-line will receive email confirmation with your credit card documentation. ON-LINE registration via the Internet is the only method of registration!  For proof of registration, all participants are encouraged to bring a hard copy of email registration and payment confirmation to weigh-ins!

 

REGISTRATION CHANGES:  Changes must be emailed by Midnight on the last day of On-Line Registrations for that specific event – all changes must be submitted via e-mail to: rmnwrestling@aol.com

PROOF OF AGE:  State issued BIRTH CERTIFICATE or the most current REPORT CARD required in case of protest. Additionally, the 18 & Under age group implies that you are a high school eligible wrestler. The fee to file an age group protest is $25, and will be refunded if protest prevails. 

AWARDS:  Medals 1th thru 6th. Outstanding Wrestler Award presented in each competitive age group. Team Trophies based on submitted team roster due before 1st round begins, no exceptions.  Clubs may enter more than one team.  

RULES: National Federation High School Rules (modified) apply. Twenty-minute mandatory rest period between matches will be honored. Referees will check hair, skin and fingernails. Headgear, singlets and taped shoelaces are REQUIRED.

BRACKETS:  Available on 1st day of scheduled events.

WEIGH INS: All wrestlers must weigh by 7:00 p.m. on Thursday December 18, 2008 at the designated weigh in sites.

COACHES’ BANDS:  One (1) coaches’ band will be given for every 5 wrestlers registered under the same team name. No more than four (4) bands will be given per team. It is the coaches’ & the person performing the registering responsibility to ensure credit for coaches’ bands. Coaches are strongly encouraged to have a copy of their original pre-registration of team wrestlers and will need to show I.D. to pick up their coaches band(s). Wrestlers who pre-register and do not identify a team name will be considered Independent. Changes to team names cannot be made after tournament deadlines.

 

COACHES’ BANDS: Important note: Middle School Coaches may pick up their free bands at the Admission window marked "Complimentary or Free Coaches Bands"

  SAFETY:  CHILD ABUSE, DISORDERLY CONDUCT, ABUSIVE LANGUAGE, ETC. WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.

  LIABILITY & CONSENT:  I hereby authorize Rocky Mountain Nationals, Inc. to act according to their best judgment in any emergency requiring medical attention and release Rocky Mountain Nationals, Inc. and its entire staff from liability for any illness or injury incurred at the Rocky Mountain National Events.

Be certain to enter at a listed weight class for the age group.  If the weight entered is not a listed weight class, the wrestler will be entered in the next highest weight class. Entrant may enter only one (1) age group and weight class. A wrestler's age may be challenged. It is the wrestler's responsibility to provide a valid state issued BIRTH CERTIFICATE if requested. Failure to provide a valid state issued BIRTH CERTIFICATE will result in a forfeit. The fee to file an age group protest is $25.00. If the challenge proves an incorrect age and age group, the fee will be returned. 

 

PLEASE BE INFORMED THAT ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONALS ARE PLAYER STAY EVENTS. IF YOU PARTICIPATE IN ONE OF OUR EVENTS AND YOU REQUIRE HOTEL STAY, YOU ARE ENCOURAGED TO CHOOSE ONE OF OUR HOST HOTELS. WE HAVE GONE THROUGH GREAT LENGTHS TO PROVIDE THE BEST HOTEL ACCOMADATIONS POSSIBLE AND OUR HOST HOTELS SUPPORT OUR GREAT SPORT OF WRESTLING.

Certain promotional and educational materials in the form of still photography sound recordings and video images will be captured and/or recorded during the course of the Rocky Mountain Nationals Tournaments and are the exclusive property of the tournament and its assigns. Your participation in the tournament releases to the tournament, the use of any and all images recorded during the event for promotional, educational or commercial use.

Voluntary Waiver and Release Agreement (THE HOME DEPOT CENTER)

This Voluntary Waiver and Release Agreement (“Agreement”) is hereby executed by the undersigned, or if the undersigned is under the age of 18 years, then the undersigned’s parent or legal guardian (together with any heir, successor, representative or assign, collectively as “Participant”) in favor and for the sole and exclusive benefit of the Organizers (as defined herein).  In connection with Participant’s entry into or use of the Home Depot Center or involvement in a contest, promotional activity, training, lesson or in any other event which may take place at the Home Depot Center or which involves the use of the Home Depot Center or any of its facilities by Participant (the “Event”), Participant hereby certifies, warrants, represents, agrees and covenants to the Anschutz Southern California Sports Complex, LLC, Anschutz Entertainment Group, Inc., Anschutz L.A. Soccer, Inc., Major League Soccer, L.L.C., California State University Dominguez Hills, California State University Dominguez Hills Foundation and any of the respective Event sponsors or promoters (individually and collectively, together with their respective affiliates, officers, employees, partners, shareholders, members, sponsors, contractors, agents, successors and assigns, the “Organizers”) that he/she is:

 

(1)     FREE OF ANY MENTAL OR PHYSICAL CONDITION, AILMENT OR INJURY (MEDICAL OR OTHERWISE) WHICH WOULD, IN AND OF ITSELF OR IN CONJUNCTION WITH ANY OTHER CIRCUMSTANCE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THOSE ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATED WITH THE EVENT, (i) IMPAIR, PREVENT OR PROHIBIT PARTICIPANT FROM ENGAGING IN SUCH EVENT ACTIVITIES OR (ii) BE AFFECTED, AGGRAVATED OR WORSEN IN ANY WAY AS A RESULT, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OF PARTICIPANT’S INVOLVLEMENT IN SUCH EVENT;

(2)     OF SOUND MIND AND BODY AND NOT UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR ANY ILLICIT OR PRESCRIPTION DRUG OR MEDICATION WHICH MAY IN ANY WAY IMPAIR PARTICIPANT’S ABILITY TO ENTER INTO THIS AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND THE RESPECTIVE INTENT AND MEANING OF ALL OF THE TERMS AND PROVISIONS HEREOF AND TO PARTICIPATE IN THE EVENT;

(3)     ENTERING INTO THIS WAIVER AND RELEASE AGREEMENT VOLUNTARILY, BY PARTICIPANT’S OWN FREE WILL, ACT AND DEED, WITHOUT ANY UNDUE INFLUENCE FROM THE ORGANIZERS OR ANY OTHER THIRD PARTY.

PARTICIPANT AGREES THAT HE/SHE DERIVES A MATERIAL BENEFIT FROM THE EVENT AND/OR PARTICIPANT’S INVOLVEMENT THEREIN AND PARTICIPANT FURTHER AGREES to use all personal protective equipment issued for his/her protection.  BY EXECUTION OF THIS AGREEMENT, PARTICIPANT EXPRESSLY AND UNCONDITIONALLY ASSUMES ALL RISKS AND DANGERS KNOWN OR UNKNOWN, FORESEEN OR UNFORESEEN, AND RELATING OR INCIDENTAL TO PARTICIPANT’S INVOLVEMENT IN THE EVENT AND ANY ACTIVITY ASSOCIATED THEREWITH.  PARTICIPANT HEREBY RELEASES, FOREVER DISCHARGES AND HOLDS HARMLESS THE ORGANIZERS FROM AND AGAINST ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, DAMAGES, LIABILITIES, COSTS AND EXPENSES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO PARTICIPANT’S INVOLVEMENT IN THE EVENT AND ALL ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATED THEREWITH. 

Participant further agrees that the Organizers shall have the right to record, broadcast and otherwise exploit in any and all media throughout the world Participant’s activity/performance in the Event and to use Participant’s name, likeness, voice and biographical information in connection therewith.

If any provision of this Agreement shall for any reason be held invalid or unenforceable, such invalidity or unenforceability shall not affect any other provision hereof and this Agreement shall be construed as if such invalid or unenforceable provision were omitted.

THE WAIVER AND RELEASE GRANTED BY PARTICIPANT HEREUNDER IS LEGALLY BINDING AND SHALL BE CONSIDERED IRREVOCABLE.  PARTICIPANT AGREES THAT THE ORGANIZERS MAY RELY UPON THIS AGREEMENT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE AT LAW OR IN EQUITY. ALL MATTERS STATED IN THIS WAIVER ARE BINDING UPON REGISTRATION.
